Autumn leaves

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love seeing the trees turn from green to shades of yellow, orange and brown, especially on a frosty morning. Not that we have really had any of those yet, just rain! The new challenge over at Really Reasonable Ribbon is Autumn Leaves and ribbon. Here’s the card I came up with.

I’ve used lots of layers, incorporating cream, tan and brown cardstock together with some fabulous paper from Bo Bunny. The image is from The Graphics Fairy.

I’ve used some of my Really Reasonable Ribbon Club ribbons down the side of the card. I love it that Bonnie picks out coordinating colours in the packs as it really helps when mixing patterns. There’s also a little strip of RRR Chloe natural crochet lace along the bottom of the image.

P1060101There are punched leaves in autumnal colours and I popped in a few golden berries here and there.

The finishing touch was a bow of diamond satin, also from RRR, and an orange button.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Sorry to hear you’re fall weather isn’t cooperating as you’d like. We’ve had a much nicer Oct. than our Sept. was. Been glorious cool with sunny days, love this kind of weather. Never know with western CO what we’ll get but it’s been nice to us this year. I’m still hanging laundry out. I know that’s really old fashioned but I love the smell of sheets when I put them back on bed after drying outside.
Your card is so Fall, the image you got from GF is great, thought I recognized it. All the scrumptious little embellishments you put on things is so warm. I love it.
Can’t believe it’s already Wed. here. It’s our SS payday and we go to Grand Junction for marathon banking, bill paying, grocery shopping, groan. I really don’t relish grocery shopping.
Ah well get it done and move on. Happy week what’s left of it.

  2. Fall is my favorite time of year. The colors on the trees take my breath away. The only problem is that it is too short and then the colors all go away. You did a good job with your cards.

    • Thank you. I’m hoping there might be a little bit of frost before the leaves go to mush, although I need to get out and bag a few leaves to try those punched butterflies. xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
