All’s rosey

I will confess that I started making today’s card for an entirely different reason, but as it came together I knew it had to be the one that I would share over at City Crafter Challenge Blog where the theme is roses.

Do you think there are enough roses? This was such a simple card to make and it’s really the pretty image and paper from the Gecko Galz that does all the work. I’ve layered both on to some neutral coloured cardstock and distressed and inked the edges. I’ve layered up the little butterfly to add some dimension.

At the bottom of the image I’ve added some lace and some twisted seambinding. I decided against a bow and just knotted a little piece of ribbon then topped it with a coordinating flower.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Saw your card on City Crafter and just had to get a closer look, how gorgeous is this!! I am in love with that rose paper and how you made it look so shabby and vintage! The embellishments really add to the romantic feel. Wonderful! 🙂

  2. I love how all of the different roses match, I can almost smell them – or is that where I have just had my hair done? Lol.

I see the pretty lady is a post card, now that gives an idea!

    • Do you remember when they made fragranced cards? Would have been late sixties and I remember having a card, a basket of flowers, that was perfumed! Funny you should notice the postcard – this card was originally intended for that!!! xx

  3. This card is so absolutely gorgeous. I love it so much, so vintage looking with that lady. The roses are wonderful, really make the card with that lady image. How you know to do what you do is incredible. Everything you added makes the card even more special. Lovely
