A hint of summer

Want to know the perfect antidote to a stormy summer day? Share a jug of Pimms with a friend somewhere warm and dry.  Although Pimms and rain doesn’t seem quite right (especially as the fire was on in the pub!) it certainly did the trick as far as we were concerned. Probably because it has that taste of summer.

I’d like to think today’s project has a hint of summer about it too.

P1040540 I am sharing this over at Papercraft Star which has this photo to use as inspiration:

I decided to focus on the lovely pinks and greens for my card,

I used my Martha Stewart blossom punch for the flowers and used two different shades of pink, layering them up with alternating colours on top. I had just enough small pearls to pop in the centre of each boom.

I used complimentary ribbon, topped with a little bow, across the bottom of the card plus an extra sprinkling of miniature blossoms for luck.

Today has been one of those days when I was really glad that I went back for my umbrella, even though I had locked and bolted the house and was half way down the road. If I hadn’t, I would now be looking like a drowned rat!

Hope you’re managing to keep dry.

  1. How much worse can the weather get? Your card is the perfect antidote, love the little flowers.

PS Have you ever tried strawberry Pimms? Leave out all the fruit and veg and add sliced strawberries, the riper the better.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
