Bathing beauties and Bank Holiday blues

It may well be a Bank Holiday here in the UK but sadly I’m off to work 🙁 However, before I can go I have to weigh out a load of flour and cook 3kg pasta (it’s probably best that you don’t ask!). As I feel that this summer has passed me by I thought I’d share a card that captures all the fun of a seaside holiday or a run out to the coast on a Bank Holiday Monday:

This is one of my Gecko Galz Design Team projects and uses a postcard image from the Umbrella Cuties collage set. (And whilst we’re on the subject of postcards, that’s the theme of the current challenge over at Crafty Boots Challenges Blog – you still have a week to share your projects with us.)

I’ve teamed the image with some paper from the Mori Girl paper pack and then layered them up with coordinating cardstock and a red paper cocktail umbrella.

The finishing touch was to add a strip of olive green chevron ribbon which was saved from some packaging. I opted for a knot rather than a bow.

Hope you enjoy your Bank Holiday Monday and thanks for buzzing by.
