Craft packages ordered =0, craft packages received =0

This week’s theme at Sunday Stampers is Winter. Oddly, it took me quite awhile to come up with an idea. I say oddly because winter is my absolute favourite time of year. I look forward to the nights drawing in, the clocks going back and dark overcast days. I know, it’s been said before, I am a strange one. Anyway, having struggled a bit, despite Hels’ fabulous inspiration (which lured me into making a crafty purchase), I got there in the end.

The base of my tag is some designer paper which had a snowflake pattern on. I stamped over it using a script stamp and some Iced Spruce distress ink, followed by a crackle stamp and Pine Needles. Then I applied some more of the inks using my Inkduster and a spritz of Perfect Pearls.

The butterflies were coloured using the same distress inks and also had a spritz of Perfect Pearls.

The sentiment was stamped, using Iced Spruce, onto white card and then got the same colouring and pearl treatment as the rest of the tag.

I originally added some snowflake die cuts to the tag but they didn’t look quite right so I substituted the rose ribbon trim.

The finishing touches are some little white jingle bells and random sprinkling of chunky clear glitter.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. STUNNING, love the icy feel with the softness of the butterflies. Now, next week when I swing by (hoping you will join in again lol) I am wondering the “craft packages ordered” number will have gone up? LOL X
    Thanks for joining in againx

  2. HUH? I left a right old long comment and it has buggered off??? Gah! Anyways, I says, LOVE this cos the icy feel is perfectly softened by the butterflies… I also said about your “craft packages ordered” thingy being…more than a 0 lol Thanks for joining in again x

  3. This is so pretty, light delicate colours and a lovely frosty effect. The roses and butterflies are gorgeous, which is strange because I hardly ever see either in my garden during the depths of winter! (Te he.)

  4. So beautiful Mrs. Beez. Love the colors and how it looks like snow on the tag, all of it. Your talent is incredible.
I have all kinds of Perfect Pearls but have never used them, not sure what to do? Happy weekend

    • I’m never sure about using anything other than a neutral Perfect Pearls but as long as you shake them well and spritz from a distance they give a beautiful sheen. You can use them through stencils too. I’ve also sprayed them on a craft mat and then run a tag or cardstock through them. Enjoy! Hope the shopping and banking went well and that you have a great weekend. Storms forecast here – I’ll let you know what happens!

    • Aww thanks, Lesline. It is my ambition and I would love to meet you. My eldest son told me that I had to go next year – it was a command! So here’s hoping x
