Voyage of Discovery

Today has been quite cold and overcast, until late this afternoon when the sun came out. “Great,” I thought, “there will be some good light to take my photographs in,” as I was very very late in creating. Cue – storm clouds and a downpour. April Showers I guess, but I thought I’d better explain why my pics are so dark!

I am sharing a tag that I’ll be linking up with City Crafter Challenge Blog for their Bon Voyage theme. Design team member Linda is leaving and embarking on a big adventure.  I love Linda’s style and have throughly enjoyed her creations so this is in her honour!

I covered the tag with some brown spotty paper and then added a strip from a vintage postcard image down one side. I added a strip of lace along the bottom before adding a wooden birdcage embellishment.

I used my Martha Stewart punch to create some dimensional butterflies using more spotty paper and also some gold glitter card. I’ve given the butterflies pearl bodies and a beaded tail, using some coiled gold wire, to the one that sits on the cage.

I’ve added a glittered prima rose and then added lace, ribbon and buttons.

To finish, I added some Ideaology Chit-Chat stickers

Enjoy your travels Linda 🙂

  1. first what a wonderful bon voyage tag to give for a gift. Very pretty and love how you made the butterflies, decorated everything, you are so talented.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
