So today I have the pleasure of heading south to visit my brother and his family which of course means my two gorgeous little nephews. I love going on a Friday as it means we can pick them up from school.
Before I go, I am sharing another tag that I have made for the Sunday Stampers vintage challenge:
I so loved the effect that I created when I was doing the previous one, I wanted to have another go. Once again I started with a plain manila tag. I splodged Old Paper distress stain onto my mat and pulled the tag through it. I repeated this process several times, to build up the layers, drying with a heat gun in between. I spritzed water on to some of the ink to vary the depth and tone.
Once the final layer was dry, I inked up my script stamp with some more Old Paper distress stain and stamped all over the tag. Then I went around the edge of the tag with some Vintage Photo distress ink.
The flower was made with plain paper flowers that I first coloured with distress stain and then stamped with the script stamp, this time using Vintage Photo. I then layered these up and popped a pearl in the centre.
I was going to stain the little butterflies but when I put them against the tag the looked so pretty, I decided to leave them as they were. You will recognise these as coming from The Graphics Fairy. I coloured some white seam binding with distress stain and added the word “Inspire” that came from Artchix.
I could quite happily play with distress inks, stains and tags all day, but I have nephews waiting and I’m looking forward to being Aunty Lisette for a couple of days 🙂 🙂 One more hurdle, I just have to convince Mr Beez that I have only packed essentials (ahem!).
