Tag twosome

I have a couple more tags to share with you today, both of which fit very nicely with Sunday Stampers brown theme.

First up is another of my Gecko Galz DT pieces that showcases this months free paper. Be sure to buzz over and pick up yours.

P1070635

I’ve teamed the paper with a fabulous Gecko Galz butterfly which has been applied to the tag with glue gel to give it some dimension.

P1070641

The base tag is dark brown card and then I’ve added some stamping to the paper using Walnut Stain distress ink.

P1070637

To finish it off I’ve added some yellow sweetheart blossoms.

P1070639

The second tag was really just an excuse to play with inks, stamps and stencils.

P1070848

Starting with some pale pink card I used Antique Linen distress ink and applied it through a harlequin stencil.

P1070850

Then I used a floral flourish and used more Antique Linen plus Walnut Stain and Rusty Hinge.

P1070851

The little fairy is from Tim Holtz Winged Things 1. I stamped her in Walnut stain and then added colour with distress inks – Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick.

P1070853

The butterflies were stamped and coloured in the same way.

P1070854

P1070852

The finishing touches are some very pretty lace trim and a few blooms of organza ribbon trim.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Fabulous tags Mrs Beez. If I had to pick a favourite, I think it would have to be the first. I love the backing paper and that gorgeous butterfly and the WOC flowers.

    • Thank you and I think I agree. I’m not entirely sure about the second one but when it catches my eye I decide I kinda like it!

  2. I love the first one, the butterfly and paper are gorgeous together! I love the second one too, it almost looks like a fabric background with the distressing and stamping and I love how you have her off to the side like that too. Have a great weekend. ~Diane

    • Thanks Diane. It’s almost as if that butterfly and paper were meant to go together and yet, at first glance the butterfly doesn’t look yellow!! Hope you have a great weekend too 🙂

  3. More stunning art hun… that butterfly is stunning… I have been leaving copious amounts of comments but for some reason they aren’t showing up so I guess something it not workin… hoping you get this one! Thanks for joining in with the Sunday Stamper x
