The new challenge at Papercraft Star provides this photo for inspiration:

PCS _168

I’ve decided to go with a tag incorporating the writing and the colours (well sort of!).

P1060226

I made two tags and then coloured them with distress inks – Antique Linen, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, a smidge of Peacock Feathers and Vintage Photo. Then I stamped some crackles using Vintage Photo and some script using black Archival. Those of you who visit me regularly will know these stamps are my current favourite combo.

P1060228

You  will also not be surprised to see butterflies! I coloured these with Peacock Feathers and Spiced Marmalade with a little Vintage Photo at the edges. I added some orange Promarker for vibrancy.

P1060227

The words were stamped onto card that I coloured to match. You will recognise the Tim Holtz “journey” sentiment and the other stamp is from Chocolate Baroque.

P1060229

The finishing touches were to add the rose trim, which I coloured with Spiced Marmalade distress stain, and some coordinating ribbon.

The design team from Papercraft Star are taking a well deserved break in November so this will be the last challenge with them for a few weeks.  Ladies, you will be missed.

I shall also be sharing this over at Sunday Stampers where I’m quite sure the lovely Hels will also be ready for a well deserved break after her marathon of Pick of the Day shows on Ideal World. Those three packages ordered and logged for today  are entirely her fault!

I too am taking a break, but not from blogging. I’m migrating south for the weekend where I shall enjoy every precious moment with my nephews and have a giddy afternoon at Upton Park, home of my beloved football team. “Come on you Irons!”

Thanks for buzzing by.
