Spring Colours

How is your week going? Mine hasn’t quite panned out as I’d hoped but, aside from quite a lot of loading, unloading and waiting for people to collect all manner of things (vans, mats, sinks – you know, the usual stuff!!), it has been a lot calmer and therefore there has been a little window in which to play craft!

This is my sample for the new challenge over at My Artistic Adventures where the theme is “Spring Colours.” I’ve used Heather’s Irish Blend collage sheet which is really a St Patrick’s Day themed sheet but has too many fabulous images for it not to be used for other things, especially as it’s easy to cover up anything you don’t want on show 🙂

I’ve teamed the images from the sheet with some yellow cardstock and one of Heather’s Golden Yellow Tags.

To create the teacup I cut out a second, slightly larger version, curved the edges and used glue gel to stick it over the original, tucking a little bunch of forget-me-nots inside.

The little butterflies were just the right size to be punched out with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch, meaning I could quickly make plenty to sprinkle over the card. I’ve used some lovely lemon lace across the bottom and a coordinating bow at the top of the tag.

For good measure, I added a few more forget-me-nots, which are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Be sure to buz over to My Artistic Adventures and see what the rest of the DT have created and we hope you will find time to share your spring colours with us.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Lisette you are a genius, this is so precious with the embellishment and colors. Love this so much. love little flowers and everything you added. wish I had your patience and some of your talent. You must enjoy so much making these incredible creations.
Hope all well with you. Do you have nice Spring weather there? We had snow on Thursday and some yesterday along with rain. What a mess our back yard is, or should I say mud bog? yuck. Dog is quite put out he can’t go in back yard with his chickens. Happy weekend

    • Thank you for your kind comments, if I have time I do like to “play” craft with all the details. Here in the UK it is pretending to be spring in the North. Lovely sunny days but often freezing cold, only one or two where it is warm. The rain has also come back but, as yet, no more snow! Keep warm x

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
