Pink Patisserie

Today I ‘m sharing a card I have made for a friend’s birthday next wee. I’ve mentioned before that Rae is someone who can do a theme with style. This year, her birthday theme is pink. It came as quite a surprise that she had not previously snagged this earlier, after all, this is the girl who has done the race for life dressed as a very stylish flamingo and also as Penelope Pitstop, complete with Compact Pussycat car! So pink it is:

I’ve given one of my macaroon stamps, by Avery Elle, an outing. This is a different stamp to the one I’ve used previously. I used three different shades of pink ink and stamped on to very pale pink pearlised card. (Psst – I’ve included a pack of 8 assorted coloured 12 x 12 sheets of this in my blogiversary give away in support of Amy and Friends, check out the post above!)

I’ve layered different shades of pink card, plus some spotted designer paper, and topped them with pink ruffle lace topped with the cutest pink check ribbon.

P1040885I’ve used glue gel to apply the macaroons, shaping them first by curling them with my scissors. I stamped and cut out some pink blossoms and the “Ooh la la.” The latter is from the same set of stamps as the macaroon.

Of course I had to add a little punched butterfly and some gems.

If only I had a macaroon or two to hand! Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Your card is almost good enough to eat, loving all of the pink and the sweet butterfly. I hope Rae has a great birthday, I am sure she will love the card.
