Monochrome butterflies

Time for a new challenge over at Crafty Boots and the theme for the next fortnight is ribbon and/or lace. Here’s the first of my DT samples:

I’m also sharing this over at City Crafter Challenge Blog for their butterflies challenge. I just love this gorgeous satin ribbon which is almost, but not quite, silver.

The butterfly stamp is by Stampin’ Up! I have many butterfly stamps but I generally revert to this one when time is short as it comes with a matching punch! I added a smidge of Hickory Smoke distress ink to soften the monochrome.

I used a Memory Box die to cut the Chandra stem and used the negative rather than the actual die cut itself.

Happy Monday and thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Lisette it’s so good to see you again with us at CCCB. Your take on our theme is spot on and I love the butterflies you used. That ribbon is indeed gorgeous! A gorgeous card; thanks so much for joining us at CCCB! Always a pleasure to see you!

  2. Such a gorgeous creation. You must have so many awesome stamps and die cuts to use. Great idea using negative part, gives very nice look to card. I love all your ribbons, how do you tie that bow? Awesome Lisette, as always.
How’s the snow doing? Melted yet? Ours was but now we have a good inch on top again as I type. Was so dark and dreary today, wanted to stay in bed reading. Had to get up to do many sessions of exercises. Hope you have wonderful week, be careful driving.

    • Thank you. I have a gadget for the bows – just sticks on a block of wood, but it works!! The snow was only here for a couple of days, hoping for more but not as much as on the East coast of USA. Take care x

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
