Brag Monday at The Graphics Fairy always offers the opportunity to use her huge range of beautiful images in a project that isn’t a card. Today I have made a little rosette decoration to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. I will also be sharing this over at City Crafter Challenge Blog for their wings challenge, Anything But A Card for their Green/Irish/St Patrick’s challenge and with Really Reasonable Ribbon #RRR67 Show Me The Green.
I printed out long strips of the shamrock image (which would be perfect for paper chains), folded them in half and then in half again so that the image is on the inside of the loop too. I used a staple to fasten them and then hot glued them to a small circle of card.
Next, I cut small strips of RRR Bud Green satin ribbon, folded them in half and hot glued them on top of the paper strips. I made a double bow from RRR Emerald Green Diamond Satin Ribbon and ivory seam binding and topped it off with an emerald green button.
I used the cute little Irish girl image from The Graphics Fairy and gave her a pair of butterfly wings which I edged with emerald glitter. I’m afraid I have a weakness when it comes to making little fairies. I used hot glue to attach her to the rosette.
I’m really pleased with how this turned out, but it ended up being very different to how I had planned it in my head!
