So that was the weekend 🙁  But Monday brings a new challenge over at Crafty Boots so it’s not all gloom and doom 🙂 This fortnight’s theme is to use a die cut. Naturally, I chose a butterfly die to show my support for Amy and Friends.P1050103

The background was created by using an M’Bossablities folder in my Grand Calibur. I inked the smooth side of the folder (i.e. the side that isn’t raised), popped in the card and then whizzed it through. I’d never done this before and loved how it turned out.

I layered the embossed piece on top of some coordinating card then topped it with matching ribbon, the die cut and a little doily.

To finish I popped on some little paper blooms from Wild Orchid Crafts and added a few gems to the centre of the larger embossed flowers.

Make sure you buzz on over to the Crafty Boots challenge site and take a look at what the rest of the  design team have been up to. Hope you’ll be able to share your die cut creations with us too. Happy Monday 😉

  1. This card is just so pretty, I love the colour and have never thought of inking the embossing folder, I really must try that.

Glad to see that you managed to work a butterfly into your design.

    • Thank you Dionne – I think I’m going to struggle to NOT put a butterfly in. Try the embossing – it was soooo easy.xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
