Butterflies, boots and a bunny

Craft packages ordered =0, craft packages received =0

A slightly different Monday for me today as I’m sharing my very first design team project for Crafty Boots. I was thrilled to be asked to join the team as it one of the first blog challenge sites I discovered. The theme for the next fortnight is animals.

Some habits are hard to break and I’ve chosen to use this adorable image from The Graphics Fairy as the centre piece for my card. It’s quite appropriate really as Stephanie-Emma, Mrs Boots herself, has the cutest little white rabbit.

I’ve framed the image with a Tattered Lace die cut frame. I cut two, in contrasting colours and layered them on top of each other using glue gel to give the frame a little depth. Then it was just a question of punching lots of little blossoms, using my Martha Stewart punch, and having the patience to apply them – again using glue gel.

Of course I had to scatter in a few punched butterflies in honour of Amy and Friends.(Read all about it in my pinned post at the top of the page and there’s a chance to win Blog Candy too!)

Make sure you buzz on over to Crafty Boots and check out what the other DT members have been up to and it would be lovely if you had time to share one of your projects too.

Happy Monday!

  1. Congratulations and a big welcome to the Crafty Boots Design Team. Your card is gorgeous, such pretty colours and a really sweet image. I love all of the little butterflies and flowers.

  2. You must have unlimited patience, putting all those little flowers and butterflies would have had me climbing the wall or throwing out something. I never get tired of seeing the miracles you perform making your creations.

    • Ha ha – for some reason, on this occasion, I did remain very calm. Other times, when I have done something similar, I have ended up getting very cross!!

  3. Hello my name is Jennie and I came across your blog in search of crochet butterflies and I am just amazed at your beautiful work and support of others. I am a medical administrative assistant in Houston Texas and I know how all donations help children of all illness I visited Amy’s web-site and I learned about the butterfly trees and I am going to buy a few to support the children and their families. I would also like to donate some butterflies that I have crocheted myself and I need to know where to send them to.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
