The current challenge over at Sunday Stampers is “dream”. Hels has created the most amazing tag full of scrumptious embellishments and clever inking techniques. I decided that I would create a little canvas using an altered beer mat. Here’s what I came up with:
I started with the beer mat and edged it with a little Vintage Photo distress ink. I printed out a text image from the new Gecko Galz Heart and Soul digital stamps collection and edged that in the same way. I used a strip of gorgeous crochet lace that I got some time ago, it has a strip of velvet ribbon down the centre. I mounted it on some white paper so it stood out more.
I stamped the famous Eleanor Roosevelet quote which is an Anna Griffin stamp using black Archival on brown kraft paper. The butterfly (too pretty to be a moth) is the same white moth image from The Graphics Fairy that I used on Monday. I gave its wings a little sprinkling of silver glitter and layered two images to give a bit of height. A creamy bow and a little flower with a pearl centre were the finishing touches.
This was so easy to do but was a long time in the making if you know what I mean. Sometimes you just need to glue it down!!
PS I forgot to mention that there are also some freebies available as part of the Gecko Galz Valentine’s Card event. There is the cutest owl digi stamp and a beautiful red paper – hop over and take a look!
