Yesterday, we had a lovely diversion from the stresses of work, meeting up with friends that we hadn’t seen for at least 18 years. We had a great evening catching up and we picked up where we had left off, and they really hadn’t changed one bit. We had a meal together and it was very difficult for the waiter, trying to take our order, to get a word in edgeways. We shall be making sure that we meet up more regularly in future.
Now when it comes to glitter, I don’t beleive in holding back both in my crafting and wearing it! If it glitters, I’m on it. So when I saw that City Crafter’s challenge had the theme of glitter, I couldn’t wait to get started.
I decided to break out some lovely champagne gold glitter card and let that be the star of the show. I needed something fairly quick too so went for simple mats and layers of cream and glitter. I used my punches to make a scalloped circle and a glittery butterfly. Sadly, I also made the discovery that my trusty butterfly punch had a crack running through it so now requires special procedures in order to get it to work.
I used some ivory seam binding across the bottom of the card and went to town with cream pearls.
I’m particularly pleased that the camera, on this occasion, captured all the glorious glitteriness of this card. If only I could find some shoes to match!!
