Happy Monday! Still basking in the glow of football victory and happy in the knowledge that this week I only have a three day week, with a little mini-break to look forward to at the end of it. Sandwiched in between is another trip to Harrogate, this time for work, which will ultimately end with macaroons and possibly a Florentine!
Here’s today’s project that I will be linking up for The Graphics Fairy Brag Monday party:
Yep, I’m definitely in the Halloween groove now. This is a little altered matchbox. I’ve used a large kitchen match box and this cute image from The Graphics Fairy. I’m just sorry that you can’t see quite how much dimension it has. I did try to take a photo’, but it’s still hard to see.
I’ve actually decoupaged the main image with about 4 layers, plus two extra layers of just the large pumpkin. The little background pumpkin lanterns are also decoupaged. I’ve given her hat an extra coating of glitter, but the camera doesn’t really pick it up.
I covered the outside sides of the box with orange stripy paper and then glued on some starry tinsel. Along the inside base of the box I’ve used some moss. In one corner is a little arrangement of orange sweetheart blossoms and a black glittery spider. In the other corner is one of my latest finds that I’m very excited about.
Can you see those tiny pumpkins? How fabulous are they? They are some sort of seed pod but look just like miniature pumpkins. I picked them up on Ebay and couldn’t wait to use them. You will be seeing a lot of these, trust me.
The finishing touch was to add a little black glittery bat.
I think you’ll probably see more of this gorgeous image too. I can’t decided if she is conjuring up a spell or making some soup. What do you think?
Thanks for buzzing by.
