Acorn luminary

If you buzzed by on Friday you will have seen the little autumn shadow box that I made using some fabulous images from The Graphics Fairy. I also hinted that I had a second project line up and here it is:

This is my Design Team piece for the current challenge over at Anything But A Card which is “Fall into Fall.” It’s an open theme and if it happens to reflect “fall” even better.

For this challenge I happened to have a little tealight holder on legs. I’ve used the acorn image from The Graphics Fairy and once again printed out two and cut out the central image. In between the two layers, which are glued back to back, I’ve added a piece of vellum on which I’ve printed another image from The Graphics Fairy.

Then it was just a question of attaching the acorn to the tealight holder and decorating. I’ve used some  more of those  gorgeous paper flowers, a few berries and some punched branches. I’ve used a battery operated light, just to be on the safe side.

Hope you will join in with the Anything But A Card Challenge – remember, it can be anything but a card – simples!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Your little shadow puppet theatre is so much fun, I bet the woodland folk had a good night out. The lovely flowers and berries make a great finishing touch.

  2. What a delight of a creation – the shadows dancing against the light look wonderful, and I love your little acorn shape. Great other projects too! Thanks for the ABAC inspiration.
