Living the dream

Yep, a second post from me today and this time I’m back to share my project for the new challenge over at Anything But A Card.ย We have an “Anything Goes” challenge for November and I had an internal struggle as to whether to go with a Christmas project or not. You know me well enough by now toย know that, naturally, Christmas won out!

This little scene uses images from some of the new releases by The Gecko Galz. The little girl comes from the Christmas Cuties collage sheet and the stamp is from Christmas Icons. I’ve used the base of a matchbox, covered it with silver glitter card and then adhered it to a piece of chipboard on which I’ve mounted the stamp image.

I’ve cut out the little girl, who is wearing ice skates, stuck her to the base using glue gel and then added more glitter over the gel. As you can never have too much glitter I’ve added a silver glittery border around the edge of the back board.

I made the little sign on my computer and inked it with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain distress ink. I also added a few punched snowflakes.

I hope you will have time to share a little something with all of us over at Anything But A Card.

Oh, and in case your wondering about the title of this post, this little scene is one that I would love to be in. All wrapped up in creamy white and ice skating under a huge twinkling Christmas tree! Thanks for buzzing by.

    • Thank you – I think it would be melting over here right now. I’m all ready to bundle up if the weather would just let me!!

  1. Stunning! This would be a great Christmas ornament. You have inspired me to make some for Christmas! Thanks so much for the idea. Hugs!

  2. AWWWW Lisette… this is so cute… I love the vintage image you used and I love the white/clear glitter you chose for the snow…It puts me right in the mood for Christmas !

  3. This is adorable! I love the glitter base and the snowflake trim in the corner. I especially like the 5 flakes across the front of the base; it’s detail like this that I never think of and that really adds a lot to the project. Looks like I’m going to have to find those images at Gecko Galz now.

  4. You have out done yourself. This is so exquisite, love all aspects of this project. It makes me feel like it’s almost the holidays already, sure ready for snow to come. This is just too perfect with the little girl and every part of it. You inspire me dear lady. So enjoy your gorgeous creations and your blog. Happy week

  5. This is adorable … It would be a great project for my group … except of course I couldn’t let them loose with the glitter … Last time half of them went home covered in the stuff Lol!

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
