Two more tags

Today I sort of accidently ended up crafting instead of doing what I should have been doing! Not only that but I ended up making two tags as I couldn’t decide which way to go – so did both!

I’m sharing these over at Sunday Stampers for this week’s challenge which is to use black. B

Both these versions were created in more or less the same way. I started by creating a little torn piece of card for the base of the tag, then I stamped the bird image so that the image overlapped on to the torn bit. Then I used the Dylusions leaf stamp to add some branches.

For the black tag, I coloured the main tag with black soot distress ink. The snow was added using a cotton bud plus a dot of white gel pen in the centre. I glittered the edge of the torn piece of card  and stuck it over the top. I paper pieced the leaves and the robin.

On the white tag I used a splatter stamp to create the snow.

On both tags, the torn edge was glittered and I added a brad some ribbon. The words were written in my own fair hand.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Two great tags, I love the design. It certainly does seem colder the last couple of days and your tags give me a little shiver. Do you think we shall get snow this year?

    • I’ve just seen your Facebook post with the snow warning for Thurrock! I hope we do, but I’m sure you will feel differently xx

  2. Wow, I love the black version and I love the white version, I can’t choose. On the black actually I loved that little red pop, like that bird would say look at me, I am so proud… on the white I love that splatters, it seems to blend everything together. Fantastic they are!

    • Thank you – I toyed with putting red on the white one too but decided I needed to do a whole new tag and, as usual, no time. You may have both 😉

  3. I like both of these, so much the same, yet so different. Thinking to outline the snow edge with glitter and having a touch of red on each tag are examples of the attention to detail that I’m always rabbiting on about. Simple, well done, and very effective! You ROCK, as always 🙂

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
