Still looking on bright side

This week I was determined that I wouldn’t do anything with houses for my Sunday Stampers project and, if you buzzed by yesterday, you will know I was true to my word. Then this happened:

And if that were not bad enough, I followed it up with this:P1080983

What can I say? Except in my defence I was thinking about a card for our new neighbours and then just started playing, next thing I have two little projects and no card for our new neighbours. I’ll do that tomorrow! Anyway these stamps are by Kat Fullman and are about a couple of inches high, just to give you an idea of size. For my first piece, I had a scrap of card, slightly larger than an ATC. which I thought I would use up. I coloured it with distress inks – Ripe Persimmon and Picked Raspberry. Then I used Neil Walker’s alphabet soup background stamp and Vintage Photo over the top. The border is a stamp by AHA and the flowery sprig, one of my “go to” stamps is from Stampin’ Up.

The houses were stamped separately and coloured with more distress inks. Similarly, the sun/moon (you decide) which is by Inkadinkado.

For my second piece I used all the stamps in the set and joined them together by mounting on some neutral cardstock. Then I simply coloured them with distress inks, white pen and Promarkers.

Wishing you all a very bright weekend and thanks for buzzing by.
