Quick March

Quick is the new word this week over at Every Inchie Monday. I had not one thought but several and, once I started thinking about it, the ideas didn’t stop! However, as I am even shorter on time than usual at the moment I’ve limited myself to just three for today 🙂

Strangely, the first thought that came into my head was “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog,” that famous sentence that uses every letter of the alphabet. This is possibly because I spent more time than I should when I was younger reinventing my handwriting and this was the sentence that I used!

I used Promarkers to colour in a little image I found on-line and also for the background.

Next up is quick march – a vintage image of a music score and some little marching grenadier guards.

Finally, the nursery rhyme Jack be nimble – and I found a little silhouette to which I added a background using Promarkers.

So that’s my trio for this week. Had I had the time I might have added quick sand, quick silver and quick step, but I shall save those for another day. I can’t wait to see what direction the other players have gone in.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Love your fox Lisette, by the way that would be the first sentence that jumps into my mind as well, I had to use it so much in my typography classes at the academy 😉

  2. Three lovely inchies as usual Mrs Beez. My first thought was also the Quick Brown Fox, and I got the Jack by Nimble reference but I could not work out your other inchie and had to read you post before I got it, clearly not at my brightest today!

    • Typically the “quick march” bit on the music sheet doesn’t read very well on screen so it’s not you, it’s me!!! xx

  3. For pete’s sake, these are so blasted cute. Love them all. How do you think of these things? What do you do with the inchies after you make them? Do you keep them, give them away? Just wondered. My growing up with parents from the depression era makes me think things have to have a purpose after they’re created, not to just lie about. Silly huh? Happy week

    • Thank you. My plan is to join in with what the other players do and at the end of the year put them all together for a display. Watch this space 🙂

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
