I’ve lost an inch! Sadly, not off my waist or hips but in the crafting sense. Instead of twinchies, today I give you inchies:
Previously I’ve only ever used inchies as part of a larger design project. These however, have been created in their own right, just as I normally do with twinchies. I can tell you, inchies are small!!! I’m sharing these over at a new blog challenge site, Every Inchie Monday. This week’s theme is grey.
You can probably see that the basic inchie has been created from book pages. I used a 1″ square punch which means that when you muck them up you can create more very quickly.
I drew the little houses by hand, first in pencil and then going over them with a fine marker. I found it helps to get the size right if you sketch a little frame in pencil. Each house was coloured in using various shades of grey Promarker. Once complete I simply cut them out and stuck them to the squares.
The words were created in a similar way except I laid down the colour first and then wrote the words over the top.
The tree and the hill were drawn directly onto the inchie but the little toadstools were cut out and stuck on.
I found grey quite a challenge to work with but I’m very happy with how these turned out. It’s been quite a grey day here – I hope that’s just a coincidence!
