Thank you for the music

A new week and a new challenge over at Crafty Boots Challenges and, just in case you haven’t guessed, the theme for the next fortnight is “music.”

This is the first of two DT projects I’ve created for this challenge and it was inevitable that there would be a butterfly involved. Whenever I reach for the music manuscript, a butterfly punch or die is a reflex move!

So I’ve layered up papers and music manuscript and distressed and inked the edges. The butterfly was die cut from the same paper I used on the bottom layer and I’ve added a bow and some organza rose trim.

Across the bottom of the card is some crochet lace, more ribbon and organza rose trim plus little ivory buttons.

In the corner are a couple of little bows.

I hope you can find time to link up your musical themed projects and share them with us over at Crafty Boots Challenges. I also hope you’ll buzz back here later today when I have another project to share with you.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Lisette, lovely card, I always adore your laces and ribbons, just one question, tell me the roses did you colour them? I’ve never managed to find such a nice tea stained colour ones.

  2. This is an amazing concept, it is so fresh and original. I love the butterfly and all the ribbon and roses – and the lace and tiny buttons. The neutral colours look great.

I am very envious of all that sheet music!

I am looking forward to your next post.

  3. This is soft and pretty. I really like the rough-edged look of the frames and your lovely ribbon and lace trims. Very, very well done!

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
