Thank You Bee

Still feeling under the weather I haven’t felt much like crafting over the weekend. However, I have managed to rustle up a quick card to share with you:

This took no time at all to create and I’m really happy with the way it turned out. I used some ivory cardstock and used an Inkduster to swoosh on some Squeezed Lemonade distress ink. Around the edge I added just a smidge of Worn Lipstick.

I stamped the honeycomb using what else but Wild Honey. This is an A5 stamp and for the first time I used it in it’s entirety.

Next, I used Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters to stamp the vine leaves, then Worn Lipstick for the flowery branches. I used a thin black pen to create the border.

I used my large bee stamp in the centre. I originally planned to paper piece this but I liked how it looked so decided to leave it alone.

I’ve mounted the card on to a pale moss green card before applying to the card.

Very fed up that the weekend is almost over and I have spent the majority of my time feeling sorry for myself. What’s the betting that tomorrow I’ll be feeling much better, especially as I have the dentist to look forward to?!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. So sorry to hear your still feeling ill. I know just the trick to get you on your way…donuts & hot tea. Isn’t that how it always goes…after your days off you wake up feeling fine. Grrr! Good luck at the dentist. I keep putting mine off…as I must have all my teeth removed.

Love you card and can’t imagine that it came together this gorgeous quickly. Looks like you put a ton of time and energy into it. Beautiful as always. Feel better soon.

    • Thanks Sandra and doughnuts and hot tea sounds the perfect remedy (except I ate two Krispy Kremes on Thursday and Friday!!!). I don’t blame you for putting off the dentist, I’m considering it but part of me wants to get it over and done with it 🙂

  2. Another pretty creation and amazing that it was such a quick make.

I am so sorry to read that you are still feeling so unwell. It would be typical that your weekend thief should leave you on Monday morning and force you to go to the dentist and then back to work! Where is the justice?

  3. Who looks forward to the dentist! Lovely card, beautiful stamps, love the honeycomb, looks gorgeous! ~Diane

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
