Sweet as honey

After a very long working week, clearly the weekend was going to whizz by in the blink of an eye. What’s more, I seemed to have achieved very little, other than keeping up with my 10,000 steps a day. However, I did manage to squeeze in a tiny bit of crafting and made this card for the midway reminder of our current challenge, “No Stamps Allowed,” over at Crafty Boots Challenges:

What I love about crafting is that one minute I can be playing away making something kitsch or quirky, such as yesterday’s Gnome Office and the next whipping up something sugary sweet such as this card.

I bought this fabulous beehive image as part of a beautiful set from Masterpiece Designs on Etsy.

The other little collage images were trimmed from a free sheet I picked up over at Gina’s Designs.Β The papers are both from the Gecko Galz, the honeycomb was a freebie a couple of years ago whilst the floral is from the Kitchen Sink paper pack.

I’ve created mats and layers using coordinating cardstock and decorated with pastel florals.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Wow, this is just beautiful Lizette! I love the soft colours and the dainty floral patterns. Such a lovely image, a great summery piece with wonderful flowers and a cute sentiment!! hugs πŸ™‚

  2. There is something comforting about your beehive designs, they are like a fluffy comforter when you are feeling under the weather and I love them. Such pretty colours and beautiful papers, everything coordinates so well.
