Back once again from my travels and yesterday’s missing photo’s now safely uploaded. So here is the post that you should have read yesterday! You will remember that this week’s challenge at Sunday Stampers is to use something new, which can include something you’ve had for ages and never used. As usual, unable to settle on an idea, I’ve done both!

First up is a little journal page that I’ve created using Dylusions inks and stamps. The “new” is the house stamp which, to date, I’ve never used until now. I created the background quite some time ago. After spraying Dylusions inks through a mask, I’ve then pressed the mask onto another piece of paper so you get the reverse effect. Once dry, I’ve used the leafy branch stamp and black archival ink all around the edge. The house was stamped onto some previously inked paper and cut out.

P1030381I dotted some little buttons in the undergrowth and added some clear gems to twinkle amongst the stars.

The words are from one of my Artchix sets.

Next up is a little gift packet that I have made for a friend who is leaving work next month. The “new” in this project is the little glassine bag. I love these, but haven’t been sure what to do with them.

I’ve stamped my favourite bee in black archival and then, for a change, added glitter to its body. I can’t believe I’ve never done this before.

Then it was simply a question of adding a strip of black crochet lace, a twine bow and a little white paper rose along the bottom.

P1030374The finishing touch was to add a couple of little black buttons. Not sure I can part with the bag now I’ve made it! Giving the gift away will be easier, simply for the reason that I bought one for myself too!!

Be sure to pop over to Hels’ blog not only is her work fabulous, she’s also got a great giveaway at the moment too.

I’d like to tell you that after last week’s shennanigans, when I was away, that this week had gone without incident. Sadly, that was not the case. I can’t tell you all the details but it involved a job’s worth, some ants and a mouse! Honestly, you just couldn’t make it up and is it any wonder I’ve overdosed on shortbread?!

  1. love your Dylusions page but I REALLY love the buzzy bee… how cool is that and I am sure your colleague is going to adore it… Thanks for joining in with the Sunday Stamper x

  2. Fab Dylusions page, I love the orange buttons, they really set it off and the glitter bee on the gift bag looks amazing – all the glitter gives if a wonderful furry effect.

Hoping you have a fab weekend to make up for your bad week.

    Dionne xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
