Today I am sharing another page from the journal that I have been contributing to as part of an international round robin event. The theme of this particular journal was “the macabre”. This was the first page that I created which you can read about here:

And here is the latest page:

P1040444The background was made using Dylusions inks and masks. I used the masks with water, the ghosting technique, and inks then stamped over the top using a script stamp and Vintage Photo distress ink.The wings and the flowers were images from The Graphics Fairy. I’m sorry that I can’t remember where I found the skull image from.P1040447

I have been adding a signature bee stamp to all the journal pages I have created for this event so included one here.P1040448

I took a gamble and did the writing freehand. Mmm, I know, risky – but I don’t think it’s turned out too bad. I did use a pencil first and then went over it with a Promarker.  I also added some white highlights – I just can’t help myself.P1040446

Once all the elements were finished, I gave the page a rough coat of clear crackle paint.

P1040449Having not had a journal to work on for some time, I ended up with three coming all at once and they all need two pages so I am beginning to feel the pressure. However, one of the journals belongs to the person that I always forward the journal I have been working on to so that particular one will have made its final journey. I can’t wait to see them all complete and I promise to show you the one that belongs to me. I wonder if any of you could hazard a guess at what my theme was?
