I love it when blog challenges come up with a new and original theme and the super talented Stella, over at City Crafter Challenge Blog has come up with a great one. This week she is asking us to work in just one corner, leaving the rest of the space blank. Here’s my card:

Well of course there was going to be a bee, what did you expect?! I’ve used a Wendy Vecchi stamp to create the dog rose in the corner stamping it first directly onto the card and then twice more on to card. I cut out two lots of petals, snipping in between to separate them, and one lot of leaves. Leaves and petals were coloured with Polychromos before folding and layering over the original stamped image.

Before applying them I brushed on a little Salty Ocean distress ink and stamped the bee and the sentiment. The bee has also been paper pieced. I’ve layered the stamped square on to green and then pink cardstock.

This card also fits in nicely with the current Crafty Boots challenge “Fair and Square.”

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Your card is the stunning. A gorgeous flower (love the layers!) and the addition of a sweet little bee is fab!. IN my opinion the bee is the signature of the artist:) A gorgeous take on our theme. Thanks so much for joining us this week at CCCB! I am so happy to have you with us again!

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
