I confess I am not someone who gets any pleasure from household chores. I am in awe of people who claim to like ironing or cleaning and am slightly scared by people who can’t have a thing out of place. Don’t get me wrong, I like my house to be clean and tidy but it generally isn’t and for most of the time I’m really not bothered. The kitchen is a particular problem as it really doesn’t have enought space for a family that likes to cook.
Papercraft Star’s current challenge is to use your kitchen colours. Since I don’t have an awful lot of crafting stash in “grime,” I’m using the colours that my kitchen would be should I ever get round to cleaning it!
I’ve used my Stampin’ Up! supplies to make this and you can find the full list over at Mrs Beez Stampin’ I built up layers using blue, sand and cream designer papers, inking the edges with blue ink. I stamped and punched out the images and then layered them up using 3D foam. Two strips of seam binding run down the side of the card and have been topped up with a nice puffed up bow. I love these two colours together – Very Vanilla and Cake Crumb, natural partners. I’ve applied some pearls as the finishing touch.
Don’t you just love those little stamps? There’s a new bee for my collection and the Eiffel Tower is perfect for this particular card as the recipient just loves Paris.
Make sure you hop over to Papercraft Star, there’s always lots of lovely inspiration AND as I’ve mentioned before you can see what the next challenge themes are going to be. I’m also entering this over at Create With Connie and Mary as I’ve used their challenge #CCMC241 sketch.
