There’s and Anything Goes challenge over at City Crafter this week BUT… there is a twist! Each of the DT has chosen a different crafty item that you must choose one or more of to include in your project. Clever eh? Today I’ve chosen to go with Kirsty’s pick which is to use mist or spray.
I’ve used a light misting of Dylusions turquoise ink (I’m sorry, I can never remember the proper names) on some white cardstock. Then I smooched on some Shabby Shutters distress ink, followed by a bit of Mowed Lawn. There’s also a touch of squeezed lemonade.
I’ve used my little bee stamp and a siwrly Stampotique stamp. I applied some dots of Fired Brick distress ink, using a waterbrush, and then went over them with a white gel pen to give the effect of little flowers hidden in the grass.
I mounted the image on some silver glitter card and then on some card that I’d coloured previously with Dylusions. I played with ribbons and buttons and flowers and all manner of other bits and bobs but in the end decided to keep it simple. I never tire of that little bee stamp but I have to say I’m loving that new Stampotique swirl.
You must take a look at what the City Crafter DT projects but a word of caution. After my little hop around their blogs I couldn’t resist placing an order with Craftsite, whose products the girls have been reviewing.
I’m also sharing this over at Sunday Stampers for the nature challenge. The lovely Hels has been working incredibly hard this week and if you caught her demos I’m sure you’ll agree they were inspirational. Check out her blog to see her fab pieces. Beeswax on our wish lists, who knew?!
