Bee -ing relaxed

Is it really Monday again? I must admit I’ve lost track a bit as Mr Beez and I enjoyed a few days rest and relaxation up on the Northumbrian coast. It’s a part of the world I haven’t been to for quite a long time and now I’m wondering why. The coast is beautiful and this was the view from our accommodation:

Boulmer

Each morning we would sit by the window and watch the birds – Cormorants, Sandpipers and Oystercatchers, scurrying about on the beach and pecking at the sand for food.

It was a fabulous few days and just what we needed after the busy summer. Now it’s back to earth with a rather large bump as I have to zip off down to London for work. Before I go, there is just time to share a card I have made for the current challenge over at Crafty Boots. We are currently asking you to interpret this sketch for your project:

We’re not being too strict on this one, as long as the basic sketch is still recognisable. Here’s my latest card:

I embossed a piece of yellow card using a honeycomb embossing folder. The bee and laurel wreath stamps are by Stampin Up!

I’ve used  coordinating paper rose and some punched leaves along with some gingham ribbon.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. I love this take on the sketch, it is so bright and cheerful – just what I need on a drab Monday morning. The little bee motif is so sweet and your ribbon with the rose are a great contrast to the background.

I love the photos for the shoreline, so peaceful. I have never been to that part of the country but it looks the perfect place for a getaway.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
