This week’s word at Every Inchie Monday is “explosion.” I had ideas of a little paper engineering but…er… did these instead!
The first two are simply watercolour pencils – I wanted to add the word boom, but didn’t trust myself not to muck it up so created one especially.
The next two are stamped, using distress inks and a “splat” stamp.
Lastly, I just wanted to play with Promarkers and see what happened if I did a little pointillism.
Because these were so simple, I felt I owed it to you to have something extra for you to take a look at and so created this vintage playing card.
I’ve called it a playing card as it is larger than a standard ATC but it is just a piece of kraft card. I’ve used Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Gathered Twigs distress inks for the background stamping. You will spot that I used a script stamp, honeycomb, dots and then the same splat stamp I used for the inchies.
I stamped the bee, B and Honey Bee in jet black Archival ink and then used a water brush to paint out the bee’s wings.
This looks like it belongs in the library at Hogwart’s!
Thanks for buzzing by.
