12 bees of Christmas – Day 12

As promised, I’m popping back with a second post so I can share my final project in the series the 12 Days of Christmas with a Mrs Beez twist. Originally I had planned to have bees buzzing and bees singing for the days 12 and 11 respectively. However, I then came up with the haunting bees and that left me with a dilemma. So, I have added music and the word “sing” to my piece, but left it untitled so you can decide!

On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me…

P1060895

…twelve bees buzzing/singing (delete as appropriate!)

Eleven bees a-haunting,

Ten bees kissing

Nine bees dancing

Eight bees a-snowing,

Seven bees a-swimming,

Six bees a-partying,

Five gold bees,

Four holly bees,

Three King bees,

Two snowman bees

and a santa bee with a beehive.

Recipe – Distress inks – Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Gathered Twigs, Vintage Photo, embossing folder, music manuscript, letter images (from The Graphics Fairy).

Card coloured with distress inks, stamped with bee image and then embossed. Additional bees stamped and decoupaged over the stamping. Letters punched with 1/2″ circle punch and applied with deep foam pads.

Thanks for buzzing by.

I thought about Twelve Bees a Frolicing but for some reason folderol is stuck in my head!

    • Hi Lori and thank you. The embossing folder is called “honeycomb” and is by Stampin’ Up! It’s in the current (UK) catalogue so you should be able to get it easily.

  2. This is the best of a bunch of very cool and inspired designs!! Love, love, LOVE the embossing folder background–pure genius!!

    • I’m so glad you liked them as I wasn’t sure how they would pan our. I love the idea of singing the blues over the end of Christmas 🙂

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
