Yay! Today I have booked myself a place on a course which will be run by the lovely Hels Sheridan. She will be doing an altered canvas with us so I am very excited.

Today I have a little altered notebook to share, a project I have been wanting to try for ages:

The notebook cost pennies (28p I think, from Wilko) and looked like this:

It’s squared paper inside which I love (no idea why!) First I covered the notebook with some “Green Meadow” paper which is from the Gecko Galz Butterfly Meadow paper pack. The papers in this pack are really clean, bright and spring like. I lined it on the inside too. To strengthen the spine I used some gold and white polka dot washi tape.  I mounted one of the images from the Artful Visions ephemera set on to some green card and then added a border of Dresden trim.

I used one of the butterflies from the Papillon Jewels collection and popped that on the front and the same image on the inside cover.

I’ve run a strip of olive ribbon down all the way around the notebook. The finishing touches were a little olive button, threaded with gold wire, a scrap of lace and a chit-chat-sticker.

Now I’ve done the first one, I can’t wait to get altering some more notebooks. As you might expect, I bought a few whilst I was there – at that price it would have been rude not to. However, at this moment in time, I’m not entirely sure where the are!

  1. I love altering notebooks, it is so much fun. You have done an amazing job here, I love how you have continued your design on the inside of the cover, I have never done that and must try next time.
