Showing the green

It’s time for a new challenge over at Crafty Boots and the theme this time, chosen by ME, is Show us the Green. The challenge is open for a fortnight which gives you plenty of time for you to share your green projects with us in the run up to St Patrick’s Day on the 17th March. I’m sharing some beer bottles that I’ve given a makeover:

I’ve used papers from the Gecko Galz Not Easy Being Green Set and images from the Blarney Ephemera set to spruce up some regular bottles of lager.

I cut the papers into strips that would wrap all the way around the centre of the bottle and used slightly thinner strips for the bottle neck and crossed these over.

Then it was just a question of choosing the images and printing them out in two sizes, using the smaller of the two for the bottle neck.

This were so quick and easy to do you could easily rustle up lots in a short time if you wanted to have them at a party. You could even personalise them if you wish.

I’m not sure how pleased Mr Beez was to find that two of his beer bottles had disappeared in the name of craft, especially as I refused to give them back until they had been photographed. However, I have to say he looked pretty stylish when he was allowed to drink them!!!

Be sure to buzz over to Crafty Boots and see what the rest of the Design Team have been up to and  I look forward to seeing your green themed projects over there.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Poor Mr Beez, having to give up his beer beer for the sake if your art… but they do look very stylish and such an inspired concept.

I hope you are feeling better today.

    • Hee, hee – Our men suffer for our craft don’t they?! I have to confess I gave the dentist a miss as I am still not right! xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
