Remembrance – Part 2

As promised I am back to share the details of my second Design Team project for the new challenge over at Crafty Boots Challenges. The theme is remembrance. Your project doesn’t have to be poppy related it can be something linked to any act of remembering. I happen to rather like poppies:

This is the reverse side of a little canvas that I covered with book pages. I used Distress Stains – Broken China and Shabby Shutters, plus a little Walnut Stain distress ink along the edges.

The little poppies were created by ruffling up some seam binding, creating a little circle and popping a black pearl in the centre. I added some stems using the wire that is left over from paper flowers after I have beheaded them and taken the flowers! I used glue gel to add dimension.

I added a little Icelandic moss along the bottom.

If you haven’t already paid a visit to Crafty Boots Challenges be sure to buzz over and check out the wonderful creations from the other DT members.

Thanks for buzzing by.

    • Thank you Ruth – I started with one single poppy, slightly larger, but didn’t use it. So now I need to create something so it doesn’t get forgotten! 🙂

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
