More string and some real life snow!

Craft packages ordered =1, craft packages received =1

Yesterday evening we had our very first snow! It was very wet and was soon gone, but for a few magical hours everywhere was white. As you can imagine, I was a little giddy. I will now be on permanent snow watch and Mr Beez knows that the answer to the question “Has it snowed?” is always, always “yes.”

Today I am sharing a tag that I have made for the Sunday Stampers current challenge which is to use string:

P1060427The base of the tag is kraft card that I coloured with distress inks and then spritzed with water. Once dry, I stamped some script and then splattered on some white acrylic paint for a snowy look. The Merry Christmas was stamped over the top using Fired Brick distress ink.

I’ve added a strip of music manuscript and then some cherry baker’s twine.

P1060435The star is a Vintaj embellishment and I’ve stamped it with black Archival ink. I picked the star up for next to nothing at the Harrogate craft show and now I’ve used one I wish I’d bought more.

P1060432The finishing touches are seam binding bows and the little Santa embellishment was one from last year and is by Kaiser Kraft.

I hope you’re keeping warm, please excuse me now as I need to concentrate on looking out of the window!

P1060437Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Love this tag, wish I was talented enough to make something similar. You are so talented Mrs. Buzz. I love all the little embellishments you put on things, your projects look so put together.
I’ve kept hoping for snow. We’ve had a few storms that snow was predicted but either we got rain instead or nothing.
I hate when it rains cause our dog comes in with muddy paws, he hates having his feet cleaned. He’s 75 lbs. so it’s not easy wrestling with him to clean his feet. I stand over his back then grab a paw at a time. He’s been known to track in mud all over my clean floors, lol, a few times. Snow is much easier to clean off his feet,
. We’re supposed to get about 2″ of dusted snow but not counting on it. Would love to take a ride up to the mountains, try to find some pine branches to decorate with and let Tommy run in snow. All we have tho is our little Kia Rondo and it’s pretty light for driving on icy roads. Wish we could drive our old Suburban. I always felt very safe in it. Even when we lived in MT and I had to drive in bad weather, which i did several times, I felt fairly safe. They’re like big old tanks. Better shut up. Enjoy the snow if you get more. Happy weekend

    • Going up in the mountains sounds fabulous – we only have “peaks” where I leave. I remember my dog going out in the snow and somehow getting his chest fur all clumpy with it. It was a long job helping him get rid of it. Enjoy your weekend.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
