Good morning and a very merry Monday to you all. How are all your Christmas preparations going? I don’t feel I’m doing too badly but there is still plenty of time for the regular panic to set in! I finished work on Thursday afternoon so am now free to do whatever I choose which is always a lovely feeling. However, sometimes I’m not very good at focusing on what needs to be done and get distracted by other things such as meeting friends for coffee or watching a Christmas film on TV, but as long as it’s fun – it doesn’t matter does it?
We have a new challenge starting at Crafty Boots and the theme is Snow and Sparkle. Now I don’t know about your part of the world, but over here in the UK we are experiencing one of the warmest Decembers on record. We don’t have the sun to go with the temperature, just a lot of misty drizzle. So, to get my fix of snow I’m having to rely on the crafty kind. Here’s a little ornament that I’ve made as one of my Crafty Boots DT pieces:
This is an altered tin lid/ I gave it a coat of gesso before adding a wintery image from the Gecko Galz Christmas Haberdashery collage sheet. I rubbed on some Tim Holtz Distress Glaze, to protect the image, before adding sparkly snowy highlights using Prima’s Snowflake texture paste.
I used some silver tinsel trim around the edge, creating a hanging loop at the top.
The words are Chit Chat stickers.
Thanks for buzzing by.
