Here comes summer

It’s been a lovely hot weekend here in the UK which made my trip to Chester Zoo very pleasant indeed. Here’s a couple of cheeky little monkeys I met up with:

Freddie and Henry

I don’t get to see my nephews, Freddie and Henry, all that often so it was a joy to be able to spend all day with them yesterday.

Anyone who knows me well realises that today sees me relishing the prospect of the nights drawing in! That’s not to say that I don’t enjoy balmy summer days, I just enjoy cosy winter nights more. So just to reassure all those who think that’s crackers, here are a couple of ATCs to help celebrate the summer:

I used some of my “trash paper” to create these, just adding a little more ink in places.

P1080513

Here I’ve used a beach hut stamp and then used a zentangle border stamp all around the edge.

P1080515

For this one I’ve used my favourite Inkadinkado celestial set and another zentangle border.

I really will enjoy the warm sunny days if we get them, but I have to tell you it’s now only 185 days until Christmas. Happy Days! 🙂 Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Very cute ATC’s, yellow, blue and sand captures perfectly the summer, between the two of us, I hate the hard sun, I have a very sensitive skin and nothing helps to protect it (half an hour at the beach I look like grilled chicken), but what I like in the summer the long nights, we have light for so long and I love working by natural light

  2. What an adorable pair, I mean your nephews of course, although you could use the same phrase for your ATCs.

Your ATCs have really captured the glory of this weekend – well beach huts and sunshine define my weekend. Your colour palette positively sizzles and your designs are fabulous.

  3. Your little nephews are adorable! Sweet ATCs also. I had a rough winter so I am looking forward to summer this year, but generally I don’t like it hot! ~Diane

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
