Crafty Boots Christmas

Yes, another Monday. another new challenge over at Crafty Boots Challenges and we’ve reached that point where the theme is, of course, Christmas. Yay!  I’m sharing a little hanging that sums up just how I feel about this time of year!

I’ve used two images from the Gecko Galz Christmas Carols and Christmas Cuties collage sheets, layered them and added a shadow around the little girl before printing out. I’ve used a wooden ATC for the base and sealed everything with a couple of coats of sparkle Modpodge.

The hanger, a gold chenille stem, was attached with hot glue and I added red seam binding, tied simply, for an extra festive feel.

To embellish, I added spots of chunky clear glitter, some scraps of lace and some red Stickles berries.

The rest of the Crafty Boots design team have come up with a whole ton of inspiration for you to drool over, so be sure to buzz over and take a look. If you link up your project you have the chance to win a guest designer spot.

Now I’ve reached that point in the Christmas proceedings where the panic is invading my dreams. Last night I dreamt I had misplaced a cooked piece of gammon and although I kept coming across people who were eating gammon, I knew it wasn’t mine! Interpret that how you will!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. That’s a beautiful decoration, I loved the image and you know that fine lace pieces at the corners they just make it so subtile, and now I know you love Xmas. 🙂 Oh dear friend, that could be a heavy dream, I hate when I get things ready, put them aside just for the right moment and then I can’t find them. I had it in my mind, what if we could have a scheduled button in life, you know for a planned posting with exact date and hour and minute, and then that thing would just appear there wherever it needs to be whenever it needs to be, isn’t that a gorgeous idea?

  2. Well, I was going to tell you what a fabulous hanging you have created and how I love the little bits of lace and how, at a quick glance, they remind me of snow. However, now I feel compelled to talk about your dreams and that missing gammon.

How odd that all the people you encountered in your search were eating gammon but yours was safe somewhere, not being consumed. I on the other hand am not dreaming, this is because I am having trouble sleeping, I just lay there worrying about everything I still have to do!
