Book of spells

Happy Sunday! Today I am sharing another Halloween project, a book of spells notebook using some fabulous papers and images from The Gecko Galz:

I started with a very cheap notebook that has lovely kraft paper pages. The front cover is an image from the Haunted Ephemera collage set and I added the cat’s head and potion bottles, which are from the same sheet, in Microsoft Word before printing out.

The back is covered with paper from the Coven paper pack another image, an owl from Haunted Ephemera.

I’ve added a ribbon as a bookmark and used images from the collage sheet, plus a few little gems, to decorate it.

This is one notebook I won’t be giving away because I plan on using it myself!

Don’t forget there is an Autumn/Halloween challenge over at Crafty Boots and you still have a whole week in which to share your projects with us.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. What great Halloween fun, and useful, too. If one of your students gives you any trouble, you can whip out your notebook and a couple of apothecary bottles–that should make them think twice about messing with you! Really, you did a fantastic job, and that bookmark is a wonderful touch! How did you adhere the image? Mod Podge? I’m loving all your Halloween goodies! oo

    • Thank you Roberta and you are inextricably linked with my Halloween projects as I think of you every time (not to say I don’t think of you at other times too!!). I used regular glue (ModPodge equivalent) to stick ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Do you have Halloween in England? Do kids come to trick or treat? Just wondered.
Are you going to take your notebook to a cooking show, that should certainly get some nervous folks to pay attention. Act like you have some creepy potions written in your book.
This book is so darned awesome, you always have great ideas for every situation. Enjoy your book of potions and spells and the reactions you get from it.
    Happy week

    • Thank you. We do have Halloween – not as big as across the pond, but it has grown over the past few years and my sons, when they were younger, always went trick or treating. We don’t get many callers and for the past two years the number has dwindled as we have had windy, wet weather. Happy week to you too xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
