A little birdy told me

After being away for a couple of days I am, as usual, shattered. I think doing my job in the heat makes it more draining but it is also more exhilarating, when we are all done and packed up, to head for home in the sunshine. Of course another reason for feeling shattered could be celebrating England’s fabulous performance in the World Cup….!

Today I am sharing another little altered matchbox that I have been working on as one of my Gecko Galz DT samples.

Inside the box is a matching mini greetings card and a tiny paper clay bird. That cute image is from the June Dreams collage sheet and I’ve used it to top the front of the matchbox and also for the little card.  The inside of the box is lined with paper from the Carnival paper pack.

After covering the box with paper, I added the image to the top and then wrapped some raffia around the bottom edge. Then I’ve popped on a few punched blossoms and tucked in a little blue feather.

The little bird was made in the same way as the one I made recently at a Kate Crane workshop. I know I said the next one would be pink, but it just didn’t look right!

Here’s to a fabulous weekend.
